Your sponsorship supports the Backus Breast Health Initiative including:
Boutique at Backus – The Boutique offers an array of goods and services meant to assist in healing the mind, body, and soul as well as products designed to enhance comfort and appearance while undergoing treatment.
The Backus Breast Health Patient Navigator Program – Providing one-on-one support for breast cancer patients and education on early detection, breast health, and the importance of self-exams.
Backus Hospital Integrative Medicine – Offering cost-free professional services such as massage therapy, reflexology, reiki, guided imagery, and yoga for cancer patients at all stages of diagnosis and recovery. Indicated benefits are better sleep quality, increased range of motion, improved digestion, pain relief, and relaxation.
With your help, we have expanded our free yoga program for recovering cancer patients, provided free sports/support bras for mastectomy patients, and added an oncology social worker who works alongside the nurse navigator to provide emotional support and connections to community resources.
